What’s on at Take Care

Spring Schedule

  • Everyday: Mal De Coeur (Tattoos)

Private studio of Ratu Tattoo and Charley Gerardin ♥️♥️

  • Monday & Thursdays: Queer Art Therapy

Queer Art Therapy sessions happen in Take Care’s Art Room and are facilitated by Creative Arts Therapist, Sass Cocker. Offering a welcoming space for creative explorations with a therapeutic focus, sessions are playful, curious and intrinsically queer. Whether you’re seeking to articulate feelings, deepen self-knowledge, reflect on a situation, develop ideas, heal or find new pathways, sessions are tailored to support you and your intentions in the space. To participate, no artistic experience or skills are required.

  • Mondays & Wednesdays: Studio Art Group (Art Therapy)

Samantha Sederof’s Studio Art Group recognises the deep and enduring connection between mental health and creativity; offering participants the space and support to express themselves creatively, develop their professional arts practice, connect with like-minded artists and enhance their wellbeing. Facilitated by an artist & registered art therapist specialising in open studio groups, the program will provide participants a unique opportunity to explore their creativity in a supportive environment.

  • Monday Nights: Pop Gymnastik

POP GYMNASTIK - Every Monday at 6:30pm! Named after the German Democratic Republic's take on the 80s aerobics phenomenon, which was less restrained than its American counterpart, the main focus on Pop Gymnastik is joyful (and at times chaotic) movement. Using a 'follow-the-leader' method, so you're never standing still, Jessie will take you through a 50 minutes aerobics 'class' working up to two BIG high intensity cardio peaks using (very simple) 80s dance moves. In between you'll get strengthening exercises that will make you laugh as much as they make your muscles burn. You'll smile and laugh so hard you won't even realise how much your sweating.

  • Monday Nights: Groov3 (dance)

Intro to GROOV3 - Mondays at 7.30pm Beginner Hip Hop

  • Tuesday Nights: Tru Luv Club (dance)

Tru Luv Club Dance Courses @ Studio Take Care. Join the dance fun on a Tuesday night at Take Care!

  • Wednesday Nights: Bottoms Up! (Dance)

Flexibility and stamina - the sexy way!

Sexy, strip-club style floor work. Old-school grinds, hip dips, pussy pops, body rolls, leg work, twerks and heel clacks. You will learn technique, tricks, along with damm hot choreography!

Created & taught with old-school strip club experience by Amanda!

Suitable for all levels & non pole students

  • Thursday Nights: Melbourne Community Rope (Shibari Class)

Melbourne Community Rope is a committee run, not for profit group with a focus on community learning and ethical education from experienced rope facilitators. Our goal is to provide a body positive, consent focused, LGBTQIA+ safe and friendly space for anyone of any skill level who is interested in rope bondage. We run weekly classes, monthly rope jams and occaisonal weekend workshops.

  • First Wednesday of Every Month: Erotic Art Club

Demasque's EROTIC ART CLUB is currently offering FETISH LIFE DRAWING. Hosted every first Wednesday evening of the month from February - November in The Chapel @ Studio Take Care

  • Last Friday of Every Month: Soul Strip

Unleash your wild on the last Friday of every month at 7.30pm in the Big Room with Iliana Contos. Soul Strip is a 90 minute experience, teasing presence and pleasure through the interplay of breath, meditation, somatic movement and burlesque floorwork. Melt self-consciousness, embody sensual freedom and flirt with life in a safe an inclusive space. This is not a routine-based class or a literal strip tease, but an unfolding exploration of euphoric expression. All genders are warmly welcome to seek vitality and liberation. It’s the intimate dancefloor that you want and need. Limited spots available

  • Saturday 13th 9am - Protest Gymnastik - An Aerobic Fundraiser for Gaza

In the great words of Billy Bragg 'All of you fascists are bound to lose'. This class is the same Pop Gymnastik you all you and (I hope) love, except this time it's all to Protest Songs. Studio Take Care has generously donated the space for the fundraiser and I hope you'll come along and show solidarity in high kicks and grapevines. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. All funds from this Saturday class will go to The Sameer Project - a donations based initiative, led by Palestinians in the diaspora, working to supply aid to displaced families in Gaza.
